Policy 02
Health and safety
The safety of our team, our clients, their families and the public is our first priority on every project. We manage health and safety in line with the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 and the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015.
- As designers, we consider buildability, temporary works and safe methods of construction in every structural design
- Every job has a risk assessment and method statement (RAMS) before work starts
- Temporary works, propping and steel installation are planned and checked by our engineers
- All site operatives hold the right CSCS cards and are trained for the work they do
- We keep sites, especially occupied homes, tidy, secure and safe for the people living there
- Accidents and near misses are reported and reviewed so we can keep improving
This policy is reviewed every year by the directors.
Policy 03
Environment and sustainability
We believe good structural design is one of the most effective ways to reduce the carbon footprint of a building. We aim to design efficiently and build responsibly.
- Design lean structures that use only the material needed, and reuse existing structure wherever possible
- Prefer low-carbon materials such as responsibly sourced timber where it suits the project
- Use FSC or PEFC certified timber where we supply it
- Reduce, separate and recycle site waste, and use licensed waste carriers
- Plan deliveries and travel to reduce vehicle journeys
- Support our team in learning about low-carbon design
As a member of Timber Development UK and a Pledge 1% company, we are committed to improving how we work and giving back to our community.
Policy 04

We want every client to be happy with our work. Because the same team designs and builds, we take full responsibility for the result.
How we check our work

- Work on site is inspected at key stages: foundations, steelwork, structure and finish
- We walk round the finished work with you before handover and agree any snagging
If something is not right
- Tell us by email at info@systructures.co.uk or by phone on 020 1838 0029
- We will acknowledge your complaint within 2 working days
- A director will look into it and give you a full response within 10 working days
